Amitabh Bachchan to do daring stunts

Amitabh to do daring stunts

If actors Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor can do the dangerous stuff, the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is no mood to be left behind. He has made it clear to director Raj Kumar Santoshi and producer Feroz Nadiadwala that he will handle all the heart-in-the-mouth derring do in the soon-to-start action flick Power all by himself.

At the age of 68, Amitabh is going back to action and in a big way for Raj's film. A full-on action flick, Big B will do his most dangerous stunts since Coolie andAndha Kanoon. During Coolie, the superstar suffered a near-fatal accident while shooting a stunt sequence. Since then the Bachchan parivar has made the head of the family promise that he wouldstay away from performing stunts.

None of Big B's post-Coolie films has found him indulging in life-threatening sequences. In recent times, Milan Luthria's Deewaar Let's Bring Our Heroes Home found him crawling through an as phyxiating tunnel. The sequence took a toll on his frail health. And his family has prohibited him from action sequences since then.

Now for his first full-fledged action film since Zanjeer, Coolie, Andha Kanoon, Hum Deewaar andKhakee (where Raj Santoshi had made the actor do a full-body flying-blow on the mega-star'sad versary) Big B will be doing a series of daredevil stunts.

Says the concerned producer Feroz Nadiadwala, "Yes, Amit ji will be doing some very dangerous stunts. That's the requirement of the script. And he won't consider any cheating in the action scenes."

Feroz adds, "I ama big Amitabh fan. If I can't stop him from doing the stunts I will ensure there'sample precaution on location."

As for Amitabh matching steps with Sanjay and Ajay, Feroz says, "He shares a great comfort level with them who'll make sure he doesn't hurt himself."
